  17. * It is highly recommended that you install this product
  18.   into its own folder and not over an earlier release of
  19.   Visual dBASE. Installing into the same location as an
  20.   existing copy of Visual dBASE 5.5 or 5.6 may cause
  21.   problems with samples and code developed for the earlier
  22.   versions.

  24. * You must have approximately 30MB free on your TEMP drive
  25.   (the drive that contains your Windows TEMP directory) for
  26.   the self-extracted installation files. These files are
  27.   automatically removed when setup completes normally. If
  28.   you are installing to the same drive as the TEMP drive,
  29.   this space is in addition to the space required for the
  30.   actual program installation. Without the required space,
  31.   you may get errors such as "Unable to execute SETUP" or
  32.   "Unable to find installation languages".

  34. * If you encounter errors during setup, make sure that your
  35.   Windows TEMP directory (usually C:\WINDOWS\TEMP) is
  36.   completely empty before running SETUP again.
  37.  
  38. * If Borland IntraBuilder is installed on your system, be
  39.   advised that Visual dBASE 7 registers the *.CC (custom
  40.   control) file association, overriding the IntraBuilder
  41.   association. If you need to, you can change the
  42.   association back to IntraBuilder through the Windows
  43.   Explorer or Registry Editor.

  49. 2. UNINSTALLING THE PROGRAM

  52. * Windows 95 or Windows NT 4.0: Use the Add/Remove Programs
  53.   applet in the Control Panel.
  54.  
  55. * Be sure to close the Control Panel before starting the
  56.   uninstall process. Otherwise, the BDE Administrator,
  57.   which is in the Control Panel, will not be removed,
  58.   preventing the uninstall from removing all components.
